The volcanic peaks of the high Cacscades in Southern Oregon aren't quite as grand as their neighbors to the north, but they still offer a dramatic array of mountain scenery. From the needle-like summit of Mount Thielsen to the peaks that rim Crater Lake and the sharp symmetry of Mount McLoughlin, these dormant summits offer a liftime's worth of hikes and adventures along the Pacific Crest Trail.
